California Valley

We headed out to California Valley today to check out the wildflowers. It was a little late in the year for it, so it wasn't as spectacular as a few weeks ago, but there were still some at Shell Creek Rd.

On our way there, we stopped and had a picnic lunch at Santa Margarita Park.

We also walked out to Soda Lake. What a strange "lake" all covered in salt.

We dyed eggs last night and brought them along for an egg hunt. The yellow ones were the hardest to find because they blended in so well with the flowers. Patrick was a pro at the egg hunt. I thought it would take him a lot longer to find them.

Can you find the egg in the picture?

We also gave the kids their Easter baskets since they have baskets coming from Great Grandma Beckie and Great Grandpa John on Easter morning.

Those are some great pictures and that looks like a lovely day out.
Is that what the Santa Margarita park looks like now? Superkid would love that.
