Kimberly's Big Girl Bed

Kimberly finally outgrew her mini crib.
So, I bought some bed rails from the thrift store and did some modifications to turn the full size headboard and footboard from my childhood bedroom set into a toddler bed. She loves her new bed. She slept in it today at naptime for the first time.

She got up once before settling in for a good long nap.

What in the world? Now you do woodworking too? You're amazing. And that ladybug quilt is ADORABLE!

It's in my blood. I come from a family of building contractors on my mom's side. In fact, that saw was one of my grandpa's. :)

My mother-in-law made the ladybug quilt.

that's so cute! love it! we're putting lola in a big girl bed this weekend. we don't have any more twin mattresses right now, so she'll be our first in a toddler bed. we are converting her crib by just changing out one of the sides for the bed rail it originally came with (it's one of those 3 or 5 in one sets). it's weird. she's our third, and we've never done that before!
