McBurney Family Reunion

At our 74th Annual McBurney Family Reunion at Hartland last month, my dad, brother in law, Erik, and Chuck were heading out on a ride and Patrick wanted to be in the picture with them. After shooting the picture, the guys left and Patrick followed after them until the end of the driveway when I told him he needed to turn around. He was crushed. He thought he was really going to go riding with them: them on their motorcycles and him on his bike with training wheels. :)

Chuck made it up to him later though by taking him for his first real motorcycle ride. He loved it!

And, if motorcycle riding wasn't thrilling enough, he surprised us by going on the zip line, first with Chuck, then with his cousin, Madelyn, and then solo! He's getting much more daring and brave lately.
(Here he is with Daddy and Madelyn, but I missed getting a picture of his solo run.)
He even let me fling him around in circles on the wheely boards in the gym.
The rest of the reunion was fun too. Lots of yummy food, visiting with family, a talent show (Patrick did skateboard moves and Kimberly hopped), bonfires, hiking and biking. The weather even held out for us and it didn't snow until the evening of the day we left.

Katy, I had no idea you were that old? I mean, you've been to 74 of these annual reunions? I never would have guessed. :)

I'm really impressed with Patrick! Way to go!!!

Isn't that crazy how long our family has been meeting once a year to catch up?! I've personally only been to maybe 15 of those 75. :)
