Stealing a kiss from Kimberly.
I was just noticing today how little blog time Gracie gets. Usually my posts are about the kids, so I thought I'd do a post about our first girl. Gracie is a Weimaraner, a German Hound Dog. She is about 5 years old. We adopted her when she was about 2 1/2 years old from a Weimaraner rescue organization in Sun Valley, CA called Friends for Pets. She is anything but typical for her breed. Weimaraners typically are high strung, and love water, hunting, and playing. Gracie is very mellow, never barks, hates the water, would probably run if someone were to shoot a gun, and has no idea how to play fetch. Her favorite things to do are go on car rides, sunbathe, go running with Chuck, keep an eye on the neighborhood from the front window, smell the wind in the backyard, eat, and sleep. She has very few games that she'll play. One of them is to run laps in the backyard; she runs super fast and the grass goes flying. She also loves kissing the kids and tolerates Patrick's roughness quite well. Anyhow, that's Gracie.
sunbathing
Sniffing the wind to see what's happening in Santa Maria. I love that her nose is crooked in the picture. :)
No more pictures, please. Just pet me.
Her serious look. (Annoyed because I'm taking her picture, again.)

She's such a sweetheart!
Gracie looks like she's smiling in the sunbathing picture. How cute.
