Climbing Trees

I think every kid needs to have an opportunity to climb trees on a regular basis. I grew up climbing oak trees with my cousins in Atascadero. I was perfectly content spending hours up in the trees as a kid. I learned so many lessons from tree climbing: courage, team work, problem solving, and, probably most of all, respect for gravity. We have all of two trees with branches large enough for climbing on our property. One is a huge Liquid Amber tree and the other a medium sized lemon tree. But, I had recently seen a great climbing tree at the college nearby, so we headed over to there to give it a try.
