Well, Abigail made it off the ventilator today following her surgery on Saturday. She also started her feedings on breast milk. They are giving her 1 cc (1/5 t.) every 3 hours through a tube that goes into her stomach. They will slowly increase the amount over the next few days depending on how her stomach responds. I am also very excited at the prospect of being able to hold her tomorrow for the first time. It all depends on how well her night goes being off of the ventilator.
