My SIL Chelsey just turned 21 and for her birthday party she wanted to have a pinata. She grew up in Santa Maria and felt like her childhood was not complete because she never had a pinata at a birthday party. So, here she is beating her neon green donkey pinata at night in my parents' front yard. I'm sure it was quite the sight for the neighbors.

my kids beg for one for their birthdays now. I love that Food For Less has them cheap. We will be beating Hello Kitty tomorrow afternoon for Emma's party!
Okay that is SO awesome, I have to say after having lived in Santa Maria for close to five years, that a pinata is definitely a SM staple. :)
